On this day, we presented at the annual Findley Oaks Career Day as a representative for careers in anthropology. Through our presentation, the kids learned about what anthropology is, the pros and cons of anthropology, and the possible careers in anthropology, while also experiencing a possible application of the field first hand through an activity with their peers
On February 14th, Valentine's Day 2023, we celebrated Anthropology Day with students of Findley Oaks Elementary School, with two guest speakers from the American Anthropological Association, discussing topics of archaeology and culture.
In partnership with the Drake House, a local non-profit organization that is fighting to combat homelessness and support foster children, we took seven children to visit the historical archaeological site of Etowah Indian Mounds. Through our presentation about anthropology and a demonstration of ancient weaponry by a park ranger, the kids were able to learn a lot about the significance of the site and the study of anthropology.

To further spread knowledge and interest in anthropology in our community, we presented to foster children at Rainbow Village,a local non-profit organization with the mission of combating homelessness in children and families across the world. The children learned about the basic. idea of anthropology along with how it can play a part in their day-to-day lives.
